Job Title: HV Manager

Base Location: Scotland

Salary: £56,555 - £84,781, Car Allowance, annual bonus plus a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing. 

Working Pattern: Full Time, 37 hours per week.

Could you be our next HV Manager to join the team and drive this success forwards?

What will I be doing in this role? 

In this role, you will be  responsible for identifying, securing, and delivering High Voltage works from 33kv to 132kV via teams of direct employees and sub contractors and will be responsible for the HV business operation throughout Scotland. This is a leadership role, and will allow you to have a direct impact on the ongoing and rapid success of Enerveo as a business. In this role you can expect to be;

In a  typical day, you could expect to be;

  • Leading a team of engineers who maintain a portfolio of O&M Contracts
  • Securing projects of significant value, building appropriate technical resources and delivering success in a traditional profit and loss type of business.
  • Planning, organising, monitoring and controlling operations to ensure business objectives are achieved within budget and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Leading teams of engineering, sales and technical staff to ensure the business achieves its core targets.
  • Setting out and managing annual budget plans and ensuring that all projects are managed to a profitable conclusion.
  • Working to strict safety guidelines and regulations 

What do I need to be successful in the role?

We are looking for you to join us with demonstrable experience and a solid track record of managing High Voltage construction projects and staff within the UK. We will be looking for you to have a  knowledge of key projects and customer/client base including key suppliers and competitors in HV infrastructure.

  • DNO Expertise: A solid understanding of Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) is essential, with specific knowledge of operational safety standards for SSEN and Scottish Power PD .
  • Budget Management: Experience in managing large budgets is crucial, with the ability to handle projects from £10-£20M.
  • CDM Sites: Strong experience in managing Construction Design and Management (CDM) sites.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage projects effectively, with a strong grasp of P&L (Profit & Loss) responsibilities.
  • Leadership: A track record of fostering a positive team environment
  • Electrical Background: Electrically biased background alongside recognized safety qualifications such as IOSH, SMSTS, or NEBOSH.
  • Sub-contracting & Financial Planning: A background in procuring sub-contract services, managing commercial/contractual risks, resolving contracts, and financial planning.
  • Driving Licence: Due to the locations we cover, a full, current driving licence is an essential requirement.

  • NER’s Compliance
  • Previous experience as a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) who is looking to advance in their career would be advantageous.

We can however support the right candidate to achieve any level of industry training/qualifications they may not have in the ‘nice to have’ list
